The aem – GmbH offers especially designed measurement devices, tailored to the specific requirements in aerodynamic and climatic wind tunnels. The devices are installed, operated and depleted on demand by our specialists in the clients' facilities. Single measuring devices can be directly integrated into test beds. We arrange the specifications with you, so that an individual, optimised solution is achieved.

EU Mobile Air-Conditioning Directive 2006/20EC

With effect from 1 January 2011, air-conditioning systems designed to contain fluorinated greenhouse gases with a global warming potential higher than 150 shall not be retrofitted to vehicles type-approved from that date. With effect from 1 January 2017, such air-conditioning systems shall not be retrofitted to any vehicles. The refrigerant HFO-1234yf, also known by the trade name R1234yf or 2,3,3,3-Tetrafluoropropene, has over the conventional R134a the advantage of a lower global warming potential and thus complies with the EU Directive. The refrigerant, synthesized exclusively by the companies DuPont and Honeywell, is already installed in a number of newly registered vehicles. Proper handling of HFO-1234yf requires appropriate filling and analysis technology. Our R1234yf level meter device for filling of vehicle air conditioning systems and our refrigerant measurement systems are tailored specifically for the new refrigerant. Both devices can be used separately or in combination as a unit.
HFO-1234yf Refrigerant Monitor

It's the first and only analysation system for the direct detection of HFO-1234yf in the surrounding atmosphere. The continuous analysation is carried out with highest reliability.

Wind tunnel calibration with ValCaT

ValCaT is a transportable robot arm for validation and calibration of aerodynamic and climatic wind tunnels. It is capable to determine local flow properties.
